Game Rules:

  1. Get into teams of at least 2 people
  2. Decide how many rounds will be played
  3. Play enough rounds for everyone on the team to get a chance to draw (Ex: 2 people on a team = play at least 2 rounds)
  4. Before each round begins, the team members will need to decide what shift they will be playing for that round. Day (easy), Swing (moderate) or Night (difficult)
  5. One member from each team draws a card from the shift they chose. Each team has ONE chance, during the entire game, to trade their shift with another team of their choosing; if the card drawn proves to be too difficult.
  6. The team member that draws the card, asks or performs what is instructed on card:
    • Trivia: ask the question to the team to answer
    • Draw: draw picture for team to identify (30 seconds)
    • Charades: act out (NO words) for team to associate answer (30 seconds)
    • Describe: use one word verbal queues for team to link to a phrase (30 seconds)
    • Sound: use sounds (NO words) for team to recognize item/action (30 seconds)
    • Who: the person who draws the card will write down the name of the person they think best portrays the card (can be anyone on any team). The team members will do the same. If the majority of the team member’s votes match the vote of the person who drew the card, the card/points will be awarded to the team.
    • Patient (green): If you have a non-medical team player, you have the option of drawing a patient card. However, the non-medical player will be the ONLY one that can answer. Time limit will remain 30 seconds or less.
  7. Medical brand names have been avoided in this game for copyright consideration. However, if team member answers with the appropriate brand name, answer will be accepted for points
  8. If answered incorrectly, or votes don’t match, your team chooses another team to give the chance to steal. Choose wisely. If the card was a draw, charade, describe or sound - the team will have to steal only using what was presented/drawn by the original team. If it’s a WHO card, the stealing team will each have to place a vote - points awarded if majority of votes match
  9. Team holds on to each card that they get correct until the end of the game. If a NON-Medical player gets a shift card correct (non-patient card), they will need to hold on to that card, because it will be worth double the points at the end of game tally
  10. When all rounds are complete, each team will tally the points from cards they got correct Day shift = 1 point, Swing shift = 2 points, Night shift = 3 points, Patient card = 1 point
  11. The team with the most points wins

Single player team:

  1. Same as above with the following changes:
    • The person who draws the card does the action or asks the question to the other(s). Whoever answers correctly gets the card for points. If it’s a WHO card, everyone playing will vote. If the majority of the vote matches your vote, the card points are awarded to the card reader
